Purpose of Position |
The College of Health and Human Services is seeking applications for one full-time, tenure-track, Assistant Professor faculty position in the School of Nursing.

Primary Responsibilities |
The School of Nursing invites applications for the tenure track Assistant
Professor level position. Faculty responsibilities will include teaching in the
BSN tracks, strong commitment to service, active engagement in scholarship, and general academic advising/career advising. All faculty must be prepared to plan and teach courses within their area of expertise. This includes course development or teaching existing courses.
Teaching responsibilities may include didactic, lab and clinical. The individual in this position will: 1. Plan, teach, and evaluate lectures or activities within the course. 2. Assure instructional excellence and innovation in course presentation.
3. Remain current in the discipline through research and professional continuing education .
4. Serve on school/college/university committees as assigned and will attend faculty, departmental, and other meetings as necessary.
5. Advise students.
6. Provide tutoring to students upon request.
7. Maintain office hours to be accessible and available to students and staff.
8. Review textbooks in the discipline and place textbook orders according to the university schedule.
9. Maintain grades and submit mid-term and final grades by the university deadlines.
10. Work cooperatively with the faculty team including adjunct clinical faculty. 11. Contribute to scholarship or creative activities within the field of nursing or related field. |
