Our client in Nashville, TN is seeking a Project Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analyses to support project execution and decision-making. Cost Control: Monitor project expenses against budgets, identify variances, and work with project managers to implement corrective actions. Billing and Invoicing: Prepare accurate and timely client invoices in accordance with contract terms, and manage the accounts receivable process for projects. Financial Reporting: Generate financial reports for projects, including profit and loss statements, budget vs. actual reports, and other ad hoc reports as required. Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Contract Management: Review financial terms of contracts and agreements to ensure they are accurately reflected in project accounting. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, finance, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to project financial management. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of project accounting practices.
